Succulent Tastes & Williford Farm Baked Goods
In May, 2007, Teresa took her final vacation day from the government job she worked at. Not realizing, 3 days later, she would give her two week notice. She needed to get away from the stress and in order to do that, she needed to do something else. Something else?! The only 'something else' she knew how to do, and do well, was cook. She began filling her every waking hour with learning new dishes, tasting new foods and exploring the 'food universe'. Succulent Tastes was born, and she's never looked back!
Teresa grew up cooking and learning from her great grandmothers, grandmother, parents and many aunts and uncles as food was prepared and served with love. Growing up on a tobacco farm, you had to prepare food ahead of time and you ate together as a family. Fast forward a few years, and that's what she does now, "Bringing families back to the table."
In 2011, Teresa had wonderful opportunities to develop and share recipes for Down Home Magazine and Our State Magazine, as well as, participating at her first local Farmer's Market, where she shared her passion for breads and cakes. This lead to her having her kitchen certified by the State of North Carolina. In addition to cooking for other families, she now operates Williford Farm Baked Goods and has enjoyed baking all kinds of products like homemade cakes, cookies, pastries, breads and wedding cakes.
