Cook A Doodle Doo
Allison Coia is the chef/owner of Cook A Doodle Doo Personal Chef Service, serving the Philadelphia area including Southern New Jersey and Northern
Delaware. Established in October, 2001, Cook-A-Doodle-Doo Personal Chef Service will soon be celebrating their 10th anniversary!
Chef Allison was named Personal Chef of the year in 2008 by Personal Chefs Network, which is now part of another chef association. This was a great honor as she was recognized by her industry peers.
Cooking is not Chef Allison’s only passion. She is very involved with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and serves on event committees and organizes different teams for these events. She has been preparing Christmas dinner at the St. Christopher's Ronald McDonald House for the past 3 years.
In June, Team Muck-A-Doodle-Doo, over 40 members strong, will participate in the MS Mud Run. This is the 2nd year for the event and the 2nd year for Team Muck-A-Doodle-Doo. To date, this team has raised well over $6,000 with hopes achieving $10,000 for the event’s history.
Chef Allison also has an team named (you guessed it!), Walk-A-Doodle-Doo. They participate in the MS 30 Mile Challenge walk, held annually in October. This will be their 9th year of involvement for this event. The team is approaching the $50,000 mark in fundraising in the history of this event.
Chef Allison is an avid sports fan and loves her Philadelphia Phillies. In addition, Chef Allison loves to donate her time and coaches a local co-ed softball team that plays on Sundays in Philadelphia. Other interest include going to the gym and working out when she is not busy cooking for clients. "Working out, staying healthy and strong is vital for me to be passionate about my profession - cooking for others".
Meatless Monday is very important to Chef Allison and she makes it a point to post her menu choices weekly on her Cook-A-Doodle-Doo Facebook page. Americans eat an excessive amount of animal proteins. By reducing this amount to a more manageable level, one can reduce chronic preventable conditions including cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. It can also help reduce our carbon footprint and save precious resources like fresh water and fossil fuel.
Proudly educating others, serving her clients, and saving the environment – Chef Allison Coia of Cook A Doodle Doo Personal Chef Service!
